Vistacom Organizes Giving Tree for Turning Point of the Lehigh Valley

Support Families in Need During the Holidays

Allentown, PA (December 15th, 2015)— Vistacom announces its participation in the Giving Tree program for Turning Point of the Lehigh Valley. Turning Point is a safe place where victims of abuse and their children can find refuge. The organization provides assistance in both Lehigh and Northampton counties, and reaches nearly 4,000 people a year through their programs and services. The Giving Tree provides holiday gifts for families in need during the holiday season.

About Turning Point

A group of formerly abused women came together in 1976 to establish “May Day Anonymous.” The small group and volunteers answered hotline calls from women who were victims of domestic violence in the area.In 1978, the group was granted nonprofit status and evolved into Turning Point of Lehigh Valley. Since its incorporation, Turning Point of Lehigh Valley (TPLV) has helped more than 85,000 victims of domestic abuse. They provide services in Lehigh and Northampton counties and reach nearly 4,000 people a year through our programs and services. Those include: a 24-hour Helpline, Safe House, Counseling, Support Groups, Court Advocacy, Community Outreach, Prevention Education, and Medical Advocacy.
