Vistacom Helps Helps American Red Cross with Hurricane Relief Efforts

Allentown, PA (September,7 2017)— Vistacom will host its third annual community blood drive in partnership with the American Red Cross on September 14, 2014 from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The drive will be held at the Vistacom Headquarters on 1902 Vultee Street in Allentown, Pennsylvania.

The American Red Cross supplies about 40 percent of the nation’s blood which becomes even more necessary in times of natural disaster. The Red Cross is getting ready to respond as powerful Hurricane Irma nears. By donating just one pint of blood, you have the potential to save up to three lives.

Our goal is to see 40 donors. Anyone who is at least 17 years old, weighs a minimum of 110 pounds and is in generally good health can donate blood. The entire process takes about an hour and all blood types are needed. Donors should bring a photo ID. Vistacom will provide a box lunch to everyone who donates.

The American Red Cross Eastern Pennsylvania Region has 63 disaster workers and three emergency response vehicles currently in Texas. In addition, seven senior staff workers have been pre-deployed to South Carolina ahead of Hurricane Irma.
