As today's Global Security Operations Centers (GSOCs) transform into the command centers of the future by way of technology evolution and innovations, there's one very important piece of the puzzle that must always be streamlined for maximum effectiveness: data. Any addition of intelligent sensors and systems to an organization's security solution is likely to generate an influx of information, which is arguably one of the most critical components of a GSOC — when it's properly managed.

Throw a microphone?

Yes, you can. And you will want to!

One of the issues with microphones has always been that they are sensitive and delicate. Sound engineers cringe when you drop one, blow in one or tap it too hard. Never mind what happens on some stages!

When a customer makes the decision to implement a security operations center (SOC) or control room into their overall security plan, there are a number of ways the project can begin. Some know exactly what they want and the functionality they require, working directly with an integrator to accomplish their goals. Others, however, may need additional support in developing a true vision for the safety of their facility. That’s where consultants come in.

When it comes to building a mission-critical security operations center (SOC), there's a reason why large-scale overview video walls that showcase a number of incoming data points are dominant. Uniform and integrated visual elements are imperative to the success of an SOC or control room, as operators and first responders require the most up-to-date and complete information regarding incoming security-related events.
