Jack Ferlino Added to the Sound Portraits for the Infocomm AV Historian Project
ALLENTOWN, PA - March 2008 - Jack Ferlino, founder of Vistacom has been added to the Sound Portraits for the Infocomm AV Historian Project. InfoComm International's AV Historian Project is an oral living history project the association is spearheading as it approaches its 70th anniversary in 2009. InfoComm is capturing stories from audiovisual professionals in a portable recording booth. AV industry veterans discuss the paths that have led them to pursue careers in the AV industry as systems integrators and dealers, rental and staging technicians, design consultants, presentation professionals and programmers. Mr. Ferlino founded the Daveland Company on October 18th, 1954, offering the installation of intercoms and background music systems. The Daveland Company, comprised of Mr. Ferlino and six employees, operated out of a single office in downtown Allentown, Pennsylvania. Since that time, Mr. Ferlino's four children have taken over the business, and Vistacom has grown into a leading audio/visual technology solution provider throughout the east coast.
