Vistacom Awarded Multi-Million Dollar Project
ALLENTOWN, PA: Vistacom Inc., a leader in audio/visual integration and design announces their involvement in Montclair University's $54 million state-of-the-art academic building which is scheduled to open in the fall of 2005.
At 270,000 square feet, the building will be the largest on the campus and will house the College of Education and Human Services and enable the school to more than double the number of teachers it produces annually. It also will bring under one roof many departments now housed in six different buildings. Vistacom will fit out the spaces with high-end technology systems ensuring a high degree of future flexibility in accommodating new and improved presentation equipment as it becomes available. Within the design, the AV systems must also cater to a wide variety of users- satisfying the expectations of advanced technology users while being easy for new users to master.
"Technology must support and enhance the classrooms experience, not dominate it," stated Jim Ferlino, Vice President of Vistacom. "That is why we strive to make our solutions as unobtrusive as possible."
Classroom space includes eight 100-seat lecture halls and 29 classrooms with 30 to 40 seats. Information Technology also will have space in the new building for its network operations and data center as well as training classrooms, offices and workstations.
